Dr. G’s Flute Horoscopes September 2019

I’m back! Various work projects forced me to put up a “gone fishing” sign on my monthly flute horoscopes for the Summer, but now that Fall is back in full swing, so are Dr. G.’s Flute Horoscopes. September will be a relatively drama-free month, astrologically speaking. Like most of 2019 thus far, the planetary tailgate party will be moving through two very specific, adjacent areas of your life, one during the first half of the month and the other during the second half. This will help focus your attention on one thing at a time, digging deep into what matters most in these areas. Mars will stay put in one area, which means that you will have a ton of energy to get things done in whichever house he has set up camp. September is a good month to move projects forward and take action in areas that have otherwise remained stationary over the Summer.

September 2019 Horoscopes

Virgo (August 23-September 22) – HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Mars is in your 1st house of identity all month. Your focus for the first half of the month will be about reinventing your flute playing. We are at the beginning of a brand-new school year. If you are a student, this is great time to put together a list of goals for the upcoming year. If you are teacher, start thinking about what new approaches you would like to take with your students in the upcoming school year.

A Full Moon appears in your 1st house of identity on September 13th. Whenever starting something new, there is always a chance that something old may need to end. This Full Moon brings about endings to approaches that have not worked for you in the past. This could be as simple as changing the time of day you practice (time to kiss those midnight jam sessions goodbye if you find that you are far more productive in the AM), or you could be shutting the door on obligations that have been distracting you from more important performance goals.
Venus moves into your 2
nd house of income on September 15th. Your entire focus will shift mid-month to money and new job opportunities. Venus will make you very popular with audition panels and hiring committees. If you have an audition after this date, you will no doubt shine brighter than ever before.

Mercury moves into your 2nd house income on September 15th. On the same day that Venus increases your popularity at work, Mercury, planet of communication, joins your house of income. Schedule all of your auditions during this time and go to those job interviews that seem out of your league. Mercury will help you sell yourself clearly and effectively to hiring committees.

The Sun moves into your 2nd house of income on September 24th. The Sun will be putting a spotlight on your money house toward the end of the month. You could be accepting a new job or booking a new gig that will bring in a new stream of income.

A New Moon appears in your 2nd house of income on September 28th. Whatever this new work opportunity is that you accepted on around the 24th, you will likely be starting your new position during the time of this Full Moon. You have all of the planetary support necessary to make this the beginning of something wonderful. Play your heart out!

Libra (September 23-October 22)

Mars is in your 12th house of behind the scenes activities all month. To put it bluntly, you will be living in the practice room this month. Practice wisely. Put together a list of daily, weekly, and long-term practice objectives. What do you want to accomplish this month? Roll up your sleeves and get to work!

A Full Moon appears in your 12th house of behind the scenes activities on September 13th. You will likely be saying, “Bye, Felicia!” to a piece of music that you have been toiling over (perhaps unsuccessfully). Remember: We all have choices – You don’t necessarily need to perform music that doesn’t jive with your unique performing style. Find a piece that you love instead.

Venus moves into your 1st house of identity on September 15th. When Venus moves into your 1st house, your popularity will soar. This is the perfect time to host a recital or a masterclass. Others will be interested in your playing and your unique take on flute playing.

Mercury moves into your 1st house of identity on September 15th. Did I mention that this would be a good time to host a masterclass? With Mercury, planet of communication, joining Venus in your 1st house, your ability to speak and write about music will be out of this World! Start a flute blog (if you don’t have one already).

The Sun moves into your 1st house of identity on September 24th. The focus will be squarely on you when the Sun joins the party in your 1st house. Again, this is a perfect time to host a recital or a chamber music performance. On a simpler level, however, the Sun may encourage you to take a closer look at your flute playing. What defines your style? What would you like to change?

The Sun moves into your 12th house of behind the scenes projects on September 24th. The Sun will draw your attention to your practice approach. Are you practicing as effectively as possible?
