Perform in Carnegie Hall Online Flute Competition

Announcing the 5th Annual Competition hosted by The Flute View.  Submit your entries from the comfort of your home.  Three or Four Winners will be showcased in a Carnegie Hall Weill Recital in the Fall 2021!

Application Deadline:  August 31, 2020, at midnight pacific standard time

Application Fee:  $125

Competition Categories:  1) Youth Competition (thru high school/18 years), 2) College Competition (thru College/21 years), 3) Adult Competition (no age limit)

Repertoire Requirements (video with piano accompaniment preferred, but not required) choose one piece from each of the following three options:

1)  J. S. Bach Sonata, any movement of your choice OR a Paganini Caprice of your choice.

2) One of the following:

Undine Sonata Reinecke (one movement)

Chant de Linos by André Jolivet

Sonatine by Henri Dutilleux

Ballade by Frank Martin

3) One Movement of any of the following:

Libermann Concerto

Khachaturian Concerto

Ibert Concerto

Nielsen Concerto

Guest Judges: Julien Beaudiment, Jürgen Franz, and Amy Porter

The three guest judges will select 3 or 4 winners.

Winners will have the opportunity to perform 15/20 minutes each on a shared recital in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.

Winners will have to pay for their own travel & lodging expenses to and from New York City.

B) Your Age

C) Your 300 Character Mini Bio & city where you live currently.

D) Your YouTube Performance Links with, "The Flute View Competition 2020" in the title of each link directly on YouTube so that we may identify your performance.

E) Your confirmation email from Paypal stating that you have sent your Application Fee.
