Intensive Programs, Masterclasses, Conventions, and Festivals:

August:

Oxford Masterclasses will be held August 17-22, 2026. This career-focused intensive includes three masterclass performances and a public concert performance and is designed for advanced students, postgraduates, and young professional flutists.

Sofia Art Institute Flute Masterclass with Sandrine François will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria, from August 18–24, 2026. The intensive includes six individual lessons, technique classes, piano coaching, chamber music for multiple flutes, orchestral-excerpt workshops, and a final concert. Enrollment is limited to 10 active participants. Faculty include Sandrine François.

Grolloo Flute Sessions will take place in Grolloo, Netherlands, from August 18–23, 2026. The program includes masterclasses, individual coaching, concerts, improvisation, low-flute experiments, and workshops. Faculty include Matthias Ziegler, Ian Clarke, and Wissam Boustany.

IVENTI Academy masterclasses will be held August 19-26, 2026. Work with Christina Fassbender, Sarah Rumer, Elizaveta Ivanova, Ewa Murawska, Wieslaw Surulo, and Cezary Traczewski.  

The Dobrohoř Academy will take place August 28-September 2, 2026, in the Czech Republic. The highly selective program focuses on the interpretation of 20th- and 21st-century repertoire, with only three flutists admitted each year.

Just Flutes will have a masterclass with Joshua Batty on August 21st in Croydon, London. There are limited spots and players must be of diploma status and above. 

Hidden Valley Jazz Flute Master Class will be held August 30-September 4, 2026. Led by Ali Ryerson, the week-long intensive includes jazz flute masterclasses, improvisation training, and performance opportunities for advanced players.

Floot Fire Summer Camps and Soloist Competitions will offer a variety of events throughout Summer 2026. Programs are available for middle school, high school, and adult flutists and include masterclasses, chamber music, flute choir, electives, and competitive performance opportunities.

September: 

Masterclass Flute with Barthold Kuijken will be held September 2–6, 2026, Forum Artium, Germany. This masterclass is for both modern and historical/transverse flute and focuses on technique, interpretation, and repertoire by Bach and the Bach family. Active and passive participation are available.

Resonating Body Masterclass will take place in Venice, Italy, from September 10–13, 2026 and in Verona from September 5-8. The masterclass focuses on flute playing, sound, resonance, musicality, mindset, and body awareness. Faculty include Katharina Martini.

The Master Class Flute of the International Mendelssohn Festival will be held September 17-23, 2026. The course includes four lessons and a final student recital. The instructor is Patrick Gallois, and applications are due June 15, 2026.

International Flute Festival Essen will take place in Essen, Germany, from September 24–27, 2026. The German Flute Society's international festival includes concerts, workshops, masterclasses, a competition, exhibitions, ensembles, and a youth program. Faculty include Silvia Careddu.

The 15th Slovenian Flute Festival will take place September 19-20, 2026, in Zagorje ob Savi, Slovenia. The biennial festival includes performances, masterclasses, and educational events with an international roster of artists. The festival website currently confirms nine international artists, but the complete 2026 artist roster has not yet been published.

6th Guangzhou International Flute Competition will take place in Guangzhou, China, from September 28–October 8, 2026. The event includes recitals and masterclasses in addition to the competition. Faculty include Michel Bellavance.

October:

Vivaldi Flute Week will take place October 5th to the 11th. An enchanting musical week devoted to the flute. Masterclasses, Concerts, Seminars with: Mathilde Calderini, Guillermoo Gonzalez, Horacio Parravicini, Stephane Rety e Matej Zupan.

Flute Masterclass with Amy Yule will take place at the Royal College of Music in London on October 13, 2026. Amy Yule, Principal Flute of the Hallé Orchestra, will work with RCM flutists. 

The Adams Pro Flute Academy will be held October 16-18, 2026, in Ittervoort, The Netherlands. Open to young talents, conservatory students, and professionals, the academy includes six masterclasses over three days. Artist-teachers include Ulla Miilmann, Anna Garzuly-Wahlgren, and Michel Bellavance. Admission is by audition video.

Flute Harvest will take place in Encino, California, from October 18–23, 2026. This is specifically for Native American flute and includes individual lessons, group classes, workshops, and performances. Faculty include Ali Ryerson.

Flautissimo will take place in Rome, Italy, from October 31–November 1, 2026. Silvia Careddu's official schedule lists a recital and masterclass at Flautissimo. Faculty include Silvia Careddu. 

November:

Flute Masterclass with André Cebrián will take place at the Royal College of Music in London on November 17, 2026. André Cebrián, Principal Flute of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, will give a masterclass at the RCM. Faculty include André Cebrián. 

December:

Flute Masterclass with Prof. Felix Renggli will take place in Hamburg, Germany, from December 4–6, 2026. The course is aimed at advanced pupils, students, and professionals. Active participants are limited, and participants prepare three freely chosen works. Faculty include Felix Renggli.

Trieste Flute Festival will take place in Trieste, Italy, from December 4–7, 2026. The festival includes masterclasses, workshops, concerts, and educational activities. International guest artists include Walter Auer, Silvia Careddu, Oscar de Manuel, Matej Zupan, and the Australian Flute Ensemble. Faculty include Walter Auer, Silvia Careddu, Oscar de Manuel, Matej Zupan, and the Australian Flute Ensemble.

Masterclass Flute with Andrea Lieberknecht will take place at Forum Artium in Germany from December 10–15, 2026. The course includes three individual lessons and a participant concert. Applicants must submit a video recording, and the repertoire is freely selectable. Faculty include Andrea Lieberknecht.
