DR. G’s FLUTE HOROSCOPES March 2023

Happy March! Spring is almost here and the zodiac is gearing up for a busy season. Planets that have not moved in a while are now strolling slowly into new realms. Saturn, the great taskmaster, is moving at the beginning of the month. Look for new, albeit challenging, opportunities for growth in your flute life. This will not be easy and will no doubt test your resilience, but in the end you will be stronger and more knowledgeable than ever before. Pluto will also be moving this month, encouraging you to consider new ways to tackle old problems. Think out of the box and ask yourself those tough yet honest questions. The Sun and Moon are also pairing up at the end of the month, working together to focus your attention on new and exciting developments in your life. Go for the things you want, even if they scare you. You will surprise yourself with your own fighting spirit.

Something just isn’t right and doesn’t really jive with who you are as a flutist. Do you not enjoy performing? Would you rather be teaching? Or writing? Or composing? Ask yourself honestly why you are on the trajectory you are on. Was it your idea or was it a well-meaning mentor that encouraged you to pursue one line of work to become a “professional flutist”? March 23rd - Pluto moves into your 3rd house of communications. Pluto will ask you to do a bit of freewriting. You likely have a great idea for an article or book project but you are not quite sure what direction to take your idea. Research some musical examples and other facts to help support your idea. You may be surprised when this research leads you down a completely different path. Follow that path! Pluto is giving you a nudge to where you should direct your writing.

March 25th - Mars moves into your 8th house of banking and finance. Mars really wants you to start saving for a major purchase (a new flute, perhaps?). Where can you cut your budget? How much can you save in one month? In 6 months? This will help you construct a reasonable purchase timeline.
